Step by step guide to support your implementation

Over several years InfoMentor has successfully integrated its curriculum and assessment solution into a large number of schools. Using these experiences, we have accumulated knowledge, which is crucial for the successful implementation of InfoMentor. This is our guide to support you on your journey. Let´s begin!

We always start with a project meeting!

We kick off with a project meeting to share our and our customers experiences with you. We also recommend that you book a follow-up meeting with us after 6 and/or 12 months.

 

1. Set goals and vision

Set realistic goals and vision in a project plan and continuously evaluate (see No. 3). We want schools to achieve; improved processes, increased efficiency, improved results, reduced workload for teachers, etc.

2. Create a winning team

Create a project group where leadership, teachers, IT, and administration are all represented. Dedicate a lead administrator, as well as other administrators and super users to each school. The group to meet regularly and communicate to other staff that InfoMentor is both a learning solution and a management tool.

3. Create a project plan

For a successful implementation, you’ll need a project plan that clarifies goals, schedules, roles, responsibilities and activities. The goals can be both short-term and long-term. They will be evaluated after 6, 12 and 24 months. Determine at the start, how and when to follow up the project.

4. Communicate

Everyone must understand the reasoning why the solution has been introduced and its key purpose is to support the short-term and long-term implementation. Use the project plan to clearly define purpose and goals to all stakeholders (management, staff, pupils and parents/guardians).

5. Import data

It is now time to transfer all existing school data from staff and pupil records into InfoMentor. Data does not have to be automatic from startup, but we recommend that you have automatic transfer to ensure that the data in the system is continually up to date.

6. Start with the right functions

Select the appropriate features at the start of the project. You can prioritise those features you feel are important, simpler or those staff, pupils and parents can quickly implement. Align headlines for the selected features according to your educational processes.

7. Put together an FAQ

There is already a comprehensive user guide in the system. What you need is a short comprehensive, easy to follow document, a FAQ, describing how to use the chosen school features. Use our instructions for the functions in the solution. Involve administrators and users.

8. Start training

Ensure that school leaders, teachers and administrators receive appropriate training aligned to their needs.

9. Get started!

Now you’re ready – let´s go! Keep in mind, however, that the implementation project is about people – not technology. People react differently to technology and change. Therefore, it is important that the communication is well-thought-out and that decisions are carefully rooted based on the needs of the people.

10. Celebrate!

The fun has just begun. Take the opportunity to celebrate the progress of the project. The project will then be associated with success. After 1-2 terms, the introduction will be done. Now, endurance, leadership, focus and organisation are required to follow up and ensure goals are met.
