We have developed a goal setting toolkit 'You can reach your goals' including assemblies and activities to use with your class.

Step 1: What is a goal?

We assume children understand the concept of a goal, but do they? Unless they know what a goal is - how will they be able to set their own goals and measure their success. The first step in our 'Goal setting toolkit' introduces the concept of a 'goal,' illustrated by the amazing achievements at the recent Olympic and Paralympic games. It suggests activities that you can carry out with your class in order for pupils to reflect on the key aspects of goal setting and relate them to their own lives.
